More About

In Mexican culture the journey of death is as important as the one we travel in life. Dia de los Muertos, a.k.a. Day of the Dead for those who don't speak Spanish, is the popular holiday where friends and family come together to celebrate and remember those traveling on the other side. This Sunday, the Minnesota History Center will host their own take on this annual event. It opens with a ceremony featuring an energetic and colorful performance by the Aztec dance group Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue. Guests can also view decorated altars (ofrendas), watch a puppet show, participate in hands-on activities, play games, and listen to traditional music. (Photo by St0rmz)
