Mikael the Mime (a.k.a. Mikael Rudolph) typically ends his show by stating, "Laughter is good medicine." Here's a heaping spoonful of proof: Some very sought-after colleagues have been tickling the funny bone in this two-week extravaganza to help him cover the bills he faces as he fights leukemia. The event began last week, and includes jugglers, warblers, mimes, and even a ventriloquist on the bill. So bring a date, or the kids, and come out for a good time for a good cause. Wednesday, catch the magic and comedy of the David Harris Show; Thursday features ventriloquism, music, and magic courtesy of Christa Krussow, Tom Lieberman, and Norm Barnhart; Friday brings Dan Newton on squeezebox, juggler Tuey Wilson, and Pop Wagner ropin' and ridin'; then on Saturday magician Norm Barnhart opens for the mime comedy of the Kirsten and Dean Show; and finally, Sunday at 2 p.m. all vaudevillian hell breaks loose with Chimgee Haltarhuu, Christa Krussow, Tom Lieberman, Greta Grosch, Rick & Andy Ausland, David Harris, Pop Wagner, and Lloyd Brant (who we think is the best clown in town). Could it be that the world loves a clown? For more info visit www.pushpinpush.com.
