Now that the season has shifted into fall, festivals will probably have a more low-key tone. The food won't be as deep-fried, the attendees will be wearing more than a wife-beater and tats, and you probably won't need an extra helping of sunscreen to make it through the day. But they're still pretty fun. Be sure to wear a smart, colorful coat and a warm favorite hat to the Fall Harvest Festival, where there will be a variety of activities as refreshing as the chilly air: family and kids' activities, games, and food to sample. Check out the many entertaining contests, including chili and baking cook-offs, a hot-pepper eating contest, and a dog costume contest. Guests can also enjoy live music by country artists the Johnson Twins, acoustic folk with Bethany Larson, and several others.
