Minnesota Lynx vs. Seattle Storm

It's been a frustrating year for the Minnesota Lynx. After losing star guard Seimone Augustus to a torn ACL after just six games, and with head coach Don Zierden departing before their first tip-off, the team has failed to gain traction through most of the season. With two home games left this year, now is as good a time as any to check out the squad with a brighter future than present. Plus, at the Saturday game against the Seattle Storm a mere $13 gets you a pretty decent seat, a hot dog, a bag of chips, yogurt, and a pop. And while the Lynx's chances of getting into the playoffs are negligible, they do have an opportunity with this game to play spoiler for the Storm, who are in second place in the West and are in the midst of a late-season surge to track down first-place Phoenix. Even with the Lynx's middling status, they're still the best team playing on the Target Center's hardwood at the moment. Better check them out before the Timberwolves' season begins in just a few months. I know, cheap shot.
