What makes comedian Tim Young laugh? "People falling down," he says. "People getting hurt. Sometimes. I'm very juvenile, but my act is not." A self-described sucker for an old-fashioned Candid Camera setup, Young does enjoy interacting with his audiences. "I'll ask people questions, mess with the crowd," he adds. "It's real life, it's happening in the room, and I'm engaging people." Having found success on the college circuit, Young has been playing more comedy clubs lately, which he prefers. "College is a very specific environment," he notes. "Students don't have the wealth of experience that a club audience has, so clubs can be better in that sense. College students are either dead sober, or really drunk." While he was in college, Young pursued acting and worked with several improv troupes before trying standup comedy in his senior year. He was hooked, even if audiences weren't at first. "I wouldn't say it snowballed," he laughs. "It was a very gradual slope." 18+; late shows 21+.
