Sarah Agnew returns to the cozy Jungle stage in this one-woman performance in which she depicts more than 20 characters. Set in South Africa in the 1960s, the story revolves around the children of two families, one black and one white. Along the way, Agnew portrays multiple generations, accents, and sensibilities. She is a powerhouse, and is full of heart, humor, and the ever-present weight of the dark inequality that lies beneath the surface of the story. The dressing room before this show must frequently be a lonely place for Agnew, but she more than compensates by bringing a multiplicity of souls to life once the house lights go down.
