Despite the rise in pirate-speak over the past couple of years, the Treasured Chests Gala is not about buried jewels belonging to ghost pirates à la Pirates of the Caribbean (though the stage will have a nautical theme). Rather, this event, now in its third year, raises funds for breast cancer research and promotes awareness and early detection. The evening will include a fashion show featuring local designs from boutiques such as reVAMP, Stella Blu, Parc Boutique, and Flirt. Enjoy pink martinis and appetizers while listening to musical performances by folk rockers the Limns, DJ ERCH, and more. There will also be ballet, karate, opera, and fire dancers to add spectacle to the event. Throw in live and silent auctions, art on display, and puppies (in support of a group that promotes the health benefits of spending time with animals while in the hospital), and you have a party that will leave you thankful for all of your treasures.
