Tangletown Art & Garden Tour

They say there is an art to gardening, but how often do people literally fuse the two pursuits? That is the premise of the Tangletown Art and Garden Tour, a self-guided adventure that takes guests to amazing private gardens, all exhibiting nature-themed art. Show up at the Tangeltown Gardens store anytime after 9 a.m. on Saturday to pick up a map and be on your way throughout the south Minneapolis neighborhoods of Kenwood and Lowry Hill. Backyards will become gallery spaces, where artists including Bock Andersen, Jim Dryden, Emily Dyer, Bethany Kalk, Cynde Randall, Kate Van Cleve, and many others will be present at different spots to discuss their work while you enjoy wine samples. Return around 7 p.m. to Tangletown Gardens for the evening after-party, where guests can nosh on locally grown food prepared by Corner Table owner and executive chef Scott Pampuch, drink wine, and enjoy live music by Tambuca. Proceeds from the event benefit garden projects throughout the Twin Cities, as well as local charities and arts organizations. For more info visit www.tangletowngardens.com.
