Eclectic Edge Ensemble: Reeling Over Love

The Eclectic Edge Ensemble presents Jazz Dance in all its forms. Works by Karis Sloss run the gambit from "Big Noise," set to New Orleans-style Dixieland Jazz, to "Number 44," about community, fear, hope, and unity inspired by the Obama inauguration. Flying Foot Forum's lead dancer Karla Grotting contributes rhythmic musings on the classic sounds of Art Pepper. The two women have collaborated on "Reeling Over Love," a high-camp gander at the flagrant disconnect between love in real life and love in the movies, with an original score by composer Josh Kramer.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., July 19, 2 p.m. Starts: July 16. Continues through July 19, 2009
