With a handful of suburban festivals ending their ongoing celebrations last week on the Fourth of July, it's Hopkins's turn to throw a party. Now in its 75th year, this seven-day festival pays tribute to the raspberry. Things begin with an arts and crafts fair on Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Monday marks the start of the citywide search for the Golden Raspberry. Throughout the rest of the week there will be special activities for seniors, kids' events including a fishing tournament, various coronation parties and announcements, live music, street dances, sports tournaments, and more.
