Pub quizzes can be tough on science nerds. Questions asked may be in subjects such as pop-culture trivia, obscure music facts, or art-house flicks, hardly the kind of thing that captures the mind of lovers of the periodic table, botany, and physics. However, this trivia night is right up a science lover's alley. Bring a competitive group of up to five people and be prepared to answer questions on basic biology (impress peers who haven't thought about mitochondria or the golgi apparatus in years), current events (read up on the latest stem cell research), science history (do you know the difference between Marie Curie and Maria Mayer?), and even science fiction (let your Babylon 5 love shine). The event is hosted by self-professed science geek and local hip-hop artist Dessa from Doomtree.
