Sommerparty/After Hours Tanzparty
Anyone who's been to an Oktoberfest is aware that the Germans know how to throw a good party. This weekend at the Germanic-American Institute promises to have something fun for just about everyone. Revelers can crash the Sommerparty, a $5 outdoor event from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. that features live music by Dale Dahmen, beer and brats again, polka lessons, and games. After hours, from 10 p.m. to midnight, the party moves inside, where DJ Lübbert Kruizenga will spin catchy Europop and the bar will pour stiff drinks.
