Edina Bike Parade

You know all the hubbub that's created when Critical Mass or some other bike group plows through town? The Edina Bike Parade is going to be like that, only much bigger. Not only will the two-mile bike ride be large, it potentially will be the largest ever: Event planners hope to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Bike Parade. The current record is 2,152; the Edina parade plans to shatter that number with 3,000 riders led by three-time Tour de France-winner Greg LeMond. Though it costs $5 to participate, riders are encouraged to raise additional funds. All proceeds will benefit local food shelves and community programs for children.
