At the 26th annual Art in Bloom benefit and celebration at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, you can enjoy this fine art (and the museum's fine art) at events throughout the week. Thursday through Sunday Art in Bloom is mostly free and open to the public. Visitors can check out over 150 floral interpretations of permanent museum pieces, in addition to tours and family-friendly activities. Floral artists, landscape designers, and other visual artists of note will give extended talks and tours, and be on hand for teatime, throughout the weekend, all for around $30 a session. For a complete schedule or to register online, visit www.artsmia.org/art-in-bloom-2009 or call 612.870.3279.
