When the dulcet tones of Ira Glass's voice bring you tales of life in America each week, do you often wonder what's going on behind the scenes? Do you try to imagine the faces behind the voices emanating from your radio? This American Life Live! is your chance to see the main man behind the phenomenon alongside the show's regular contributors. Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, and Mike Birbiglia (listen to episode 370, "Ruining It for the Rest of Us," for Birbiglia's belly-laugh inducing story about ruining a charity event) will be doing what they do best: telling stories. In addition to the hour-long radio episode, this two-hour event will include cartoons and a visit from Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. Are you unable to make this Thursday's show? TAL will be adding another presentation on Thursday, May 7. For a list of participating theaters and to buy tickets, visit www.thislife.org.
