Miller. Budweiser. Coors. These American beer companies are as iconic as McDonald's, Wendy's, and Applebee's. But does bigger necessarily mean better? The beer corporations that battle for your dollar would say yes, but there is a smaller, growing population of beer aficionados and microbrewers who would defiantly answer no. Beer Wars explores these two schools of thought. Director Anat Baron simultaneously investigates the big beer industry and follows two entrepreneurs as they enter the business with hopes of creating a successful brew through a grassroots campaign, wooing loyal drinkers one pint at a time. Think David and Goliath, only with beer. Following the screening of this documentary, Ben Stein will lead a live panel discussion with several independent brewers and experts.
