Early February marked the 10th anniversary of co-founders Dan Ibarra and Michael Byzewski's design team, Aesthetic Apparatus. Over the years they have created a plethora of posters for bands like the Constantines and the Wrens, and packaging material for bands including Cake and Low. They've also designed packaging for beauty supplies, limited-edition teas, and even a paper crown for Burger King. This Saturday, art lovers can celebrate the group's birthday with gifts for themselves. The party starts with a "scratch-and-dent" sale. Posters from throughout the year that have minor print issues—most so small you won't even notice—will be on sale for about $5 apiece. There will also be a silent auction of hard-to-find prints kicking off at noon. Later in the day revelers can enjoy drinks, food, and live music by punk rockers the Awesome Snakes, and indie-psychedelic-popsters the Deaths. Free. Sale and raffle starts at noon; music at 7 p.m.
