Iceball Adventure Series 2009

With snow still on the ground, it might be difficult figuring out exactly where the bases are, but that won't spoil the fun at this fundraiser. Minnesotans are, after all, great at reveling in cold weather. This Saturday sports fans can enjoy baseball—despite it being winter—at the Iceball. The afternoon kicks off with tailgating in the parking lot, where you can grill up food for the family or participate in a variety of cook-offs, followed by cooking demonstrations and live music. Then, at approximately 3 p.m., the game begins as St. Paul Saints both past and present team up for a five-inning game against local celebrities. In-between and during innings fans can enjoy the silly games, singing, and other antics Saints games are known for. The best part? This family-friendly event is free, with proceeds from food and drink vendors benefitting Second Harvest Heartland.
Sat., Feb. 28, 1:30-6 p.m., 2009
