Bird x Bird 2009

This yearly benefit is a fusion of science, nature, and art. Each season, artists read up on aviary information from the Audubon Center of the North Woods and the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary. Data given to them include birds sited throughout Minnesota, profiles of animals being rehabilitated at the centers, and other fun facts. Artists then use this information as inspiration for their creations. The result is a massive display of bird-themed art in just about any medium imaginable by more than 130 artists. The night of the show, you can bid on art or check out works. A portion of the proceeds benefits programs and services at the Audubon Center and Eloise Butler Sanctuary.
