What happens when you stop being polite and start getting real? Probably not this show, but that's not a bad thing. The Show Is So Gay depicts two friends and their wacky adventures together as they cruise, visit a psychiatrist, hang with cross-dressers, and shop at the Smitten Kitten. This scripted mock reality show features moments of humor, drama, and affection for the Twin Cities. This Wednesday, the Suburban World Theatre will host a screening of the faux reality show's first two episodes as part of a fundraiser to keep the show filming. Walk down the street to Vera's Café afterward (2901 Lyndale Ave. S.) for cake, two-for-one beers, half-priced mochas, and a screening of the blooper reel. For more info visit www.theshowsogay.com.
