Rock the Cradle

To an adult, the world of music appropriate for children may seem small and lacking variety. But this would be an unfair assessment; there is certainly a middle ground in between a kid-friendly song by Barney and a man-eating ditty by the Pussycat Dolls. This Sunday, the Current helps families find the songs that make music a phenomenon that transcends generations. Now in its fourth year, Rock the Cradle features free activities for kids of all ages. There will be live musical performances by Jeremy Messersmith and Adam Levy, family yoga, disco dancing, and story time hosted by Current DJs Mark Wheat, Barb Abney, and Steve Seel. Sign up your little budding DJ for an on-air interview, enjoy a healthy snack, or have them toot their horns at the musical "petting zoo."
Sun., Jan. 25, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., 2009
