Vic Volare and his fabulous Volare Lounge Orchestra will triumphantly return to the main stage at the Landmark Center, crooning in the New Year with tunes from the age of swing. Volare has delighted Twin Cities audiences for years with his retro-smooth, velvet voice; if there were a singer these days worthy of a panty-fling, truly it would be he. His band always attracts a diverse audience to the dance floor, all decked out in their holiday best. However, if your swing is in need of a tune-up, dance lessons are also offered—free of charge—to the Lindy-challenged. And, if working up a sweat on the dance floor sounds a little bit too much like, well, work, check out the variety of casino games that round out the night's entertainment, along with a balloon drop and the promised slurred rendition of "Auld Lang Syne." Tickets, which can be purchased through www.vicvolare.com or at the door, include a complimentary champagne toast; a cash bar will also be available. 21+.
