The words "spectacular," "Scrimshaw," and "New Year's Eve" all rolled into one sentence promise laughter. Bryant-Lake Bowl is playing host to the Brothers' one and only appearance onstage together in 2008. The show has two performances, early and late, both offering comedy, music, dance, surprise guests, more broken resolutions than you can shake a Scrimshaw at, and complimentary party favors. The sketch comedy team has a reputation for never letting an audience down; their consistent, relevant, physical humor has been thrilling international audiences for the better part of a decade. Come early for dinner; BLB is offering a "not so" version of their Cheap Date Night: a two-course dinner for two complete with a bottle of wine or a couple of beers and two games of bowling. As always, the Bowl strives to serve locally sourced products in a seasonal, sustainable, earth-friendly way. $35 dinner; $20 for the Scrimshaw show. 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
