To those nitwits who still believe that women are too delicate to play full-contact sports, check out the North Star Roller Girls. Not only do they beat the shit out of each other on a regular basis, they do it on wheels. This year's traveling team has had an excellent season; they're about halfway into their schedule and remain undefeated. This Saturday, you can watch local teams fight against each other in two matches: The Violent Femmes square off against the Banger Sisters, followed by some tooth-busting action as the Kilmore Girls take on Delta Delta Di. Throw in a full bar, KFAI DJs, and some Renaissance-themed half-time entertainment, and you have a complete evening—almost.
