Christmas Dinner

So you completely wrecked the turkey dinner. Or perhaps you missed the plane to your hometown. Whatever the reason, there's no shame in spending your holiday dinner out. Also? Just because you can't afford some of the gourmet holiday menus available at the fancy restaurants in town doesn't mean you have to dine at Burger King or Subway tonight. Why not hit up a diner like Mickey's instead? The joint has been operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year since its doors opened in 1937. Why? Because people need an institution like Mickey's to be available around the clock. On the menu are tasty items like buttermilk pancakes, hearty chili made from scratch, malts that look like they traveled through time from 1950s, and double-decker cheeseburgers that will fill your tummy but not empty your wallet. The waiters are as quirky as your wackiest relatives, so be sure to bring the family along. 36 W. Seventh St., St. Paul; 651.698.0259.
