Sadly, the Minnesota Zephyr will take its final ride along the St. Croix River Valley on New Year's Eve, 2008. The Zephyr features five restored dining cars, each unique in design to represent decades of railroad dining in days of yore. Once offered yearly, the Polar Express takes its last voyage this year as well. The 45-minute family-friendly ride features a boxed lunch, hot chocolate, and cider. Santa will be on hand, as will carolers and other activities for children.
Mondays-Wednesdays, Saturdays, noon. Starts: Dec. 20. Continues through Dec. 24, 2008
