Skandia

You might not be aware of this, but there are a lot of people of Scandinavian descent here in Minnesota. Yeah, I'm just kidding. Unless you live in a cave, you probably already know this. Actually, if you live in a cave, you probably know. This Sunday, the Landmark Center hosts its annual holiday celebration of all things Scandinavian, which encompasses Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, and Finnish cultures. Enjoy tasty treats (meatballs, lefse, and sweets are on the menu) and traditional dance, music, and storytelling. Throw in some art demos and crafts for kids, and you have a lovely Sunday afternoon. Santa and his reindeer will also be on hand, and watch out for Tomte, a mythical creature who watches over farmers' homes. He will be wandering throughout the festival with golden treats for those who find him.
