Sandra Lee, the Food Network's authority on cheap, quick, and fairly nice cooking, will grace the Mall of America with her presence on Thursday to promote her three latest books, Semi-Homemade Money Saving Meals, Semi-Homemade Fast-Fix Family Favorites, and Semi-Homemade Desserts 2. The author of more than a dozen books of recipes that follow her trademark Semi-Homemade formula of about 70 percent things you're likely to have around the house and 30 percent packaged food bought specifically for the recipe, Lee will answer her fans' questions about seasonal cooking tricks certain to take some of the stress out of holiday food prep. But, alas, 'tis the season to be forced to interact with family, and Lee has some easy-to-make (and hide) cocktails to help you out. For instance, try her "capputini," which is nothing more than spiking a bottled Frappuccino with vodka. It's sure to make the holiday much more palatable.
