Wild vs. Dallas Stars

Waa waa waaa.… Whaa whaaawaa waa whaaaaaaaa! That was the text translation of the ubiquitous gunfight music from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Because every time the Wild welcome the Dallas Stars, it always has the feel of a showdown with dark, menacing evildoers on one side (that would be Dallas, if you're new to the National Hockey League), and the idealistic knights in shining armor guided only by good on the other side (the Wild, newbies). Yes, the Wild have a pretty sad history against the team that used to represent the North Star State. For as long as the Wild have skated the Xcel Energy Center ice, they have suffered at the hands of the Dallas Stars. In their early matchup this season, Dallas won 4-2 and had little trouble with the Wild. Now, 19 games into the season, the Wild are duking it out with Vancouver for the top spot in the Western Conference's Northwest division, while the Stars languish in the Pacific's cellar. This is the Wild's chance to draw first and strike down the bad guys, unless, of course, the Stars' curse is even mightier than a very good Wild club.
