Kathy Griffin is not afraid to burn bridges. She's smack-talked everyone from Tom Cruise and Scientology (was he crazy before or after his conversion?) to Madonna (her adopted son David has apparently made her more British), and she repeatedly begged Barbara Walters to punch her in the face when she guest hosted on The View. She has had extensive plastic surgery, and has fallen down in public simply to amuse paparazzi. If she ever makes it off the D list she so proudly proclaims herself a member of, she will probably have to walk down one mountain and back up the other. Then again, she's obviously hitting the target with her mud-slings: She won an Emmy last year for My Life on the D-List, and what started as a one-show gig at the Orpheum has grown into a five-show engagement due to popular demand. Whether you love her fearless, biting pop-culture commentary, or hate her bitchy fame-whoring, she's not going anywhere for awhile. This is, after all, an era where the D list will get you as far in the celebrity game as the A list will.
