Half-Priced Wine Night at French Meadow

By Jessica Armbruster

You might not think of French Meadow when choosing places to enjoy an adult beverage. It is, after all, in close proximity to bars like the Bulldog and the C.C. Club. But if you've had enough of sitting in a cage or wading through crowds of hipsters, you might want to mosey across the street. What started out as a bakery specializing in an assortment of breads both standard (rye!), unique (hemp!), and specialized (gluten-free!) over the years has expanded into a low-key café popular with neighbors in the area and businesses in need of catering. And though you won't find a rambunctious bar scene, what you will find are tasty meals and relaxing wines. Monday nights, when you spend at least $10 on food, bottles of wine are half-priced between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., and the same deal applies Saturday night between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.
