Arturo Miles & Collective Dance Co.: Elements in Translation/Revolution
Published on August 20, 2008 at 3:30am
Hip-hop choreographer and Collective member Arturo Miles is calling for a revolution this weekend, at least within the walls of Patrick's Cabaret. He'll be presenting a new work using modern, experimental, and house dance to comment on the role of workers in demanding change (that's right, get out of that cubicle and make some noise!). Other artists on the bill include Afro-modern dancer and spoken word artist Aneka McMullen, modern dancer Amy Sackett, plus B-boys J-Sun and Karity, and B-girls Monalisa and NLighten, all of whom stand ready to throw down hip-hop moves set to music that will send you marching into the streets.
