This performance series, now in its third year, specializes in music and dance with a world flavoring, and a heavy dose of thumping percussive beats. Featured this year are WiiBop, which isn't a Nintendo-related performance, it's a sax and poetry fusion featuring J. Otis Powell! and Kari Musil. All-percussion samba band Batucada do Norte will display their enthusiasm for Brazilian music. Greg Carr, host of KFAI's Dig Up the Roots, will team up with John Akre for an audio and visual collage piece titled "The 20th Century Gets 15 Minutes of Fame." Other performers include Carei Thomas, Note Bene, Patrick Scully, and Tim O'Keefe, whose piece, titled "Goat," will pay tribute to the animals used to make his drums.
