Minnesota Lynx vs. Houston

Unfortunately for WNBA fans, all of basketballdom is still dry-heaving from a Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant hangover. While everybody is still busy waiting for Magic Johnson to say something ridiculous and rehashing the finals and their place among the once-great Lakers-Celtics rivalry of yore, the WNBA is quietly producing great games with our very own Lynx leading the way. Minnesota is dominating by trumping all teams in points per game, field goal percentage, and assists per game. After a rather dismal 10-27 showing last season, head coach Don Zierden has the Lynx ready to pounce on the Western Conference competition behind Olympic-bound team points leader Seimone Augustus and hotshot rookie guard Candice Wiggins. This week, the Eastern Conference's middling New York Liberty and the so-so Sacramento Monarchs will visit the Target Center and try to find the Lynx's weakness. The good news for the Lynx is that, with the NBA finals ending, people can quit fussing over great games that already happened, and see some happening right now.
