A former child prodigy, pianist Taylor Eigsti opened for his mentor, David Benoit, at age eight, and four years later was opening for the likes of Diana Krall and Al Jarreau. Now all of 23, he has recorded a handful of albums, snared two Grammy nominations (for tracks from 2006's Lucky to Be Me), and is collecting accolades for his improvisational flair and exuberant compositions. Eigsti's latest, Let It Come to You (Concord), includes fresh takes on standards from Cole Porter, Ellington, and Jobim, a lively version of Pat Metheny's "Timeline," dedicated to Michael Brecker and featuring saxophonist Joshua Redman, and a surprising cover of the Eels' "Not Ready Yet." There are also four originals, including "Fallback Plan Suite," whose sweep includes slivers of pop and funk. The trio will include drummer Justin Brown and bassist Harish Raghavan. $20 at 7 p.m.; $12 at 9:30 p.m.
