Air's debut album marks 10 years, tops this week's pop culture picks

TOP PICK – Air: Moon Safari – 10th Anniversary Edition (Astralwerks)

When it comes to snooty French electropop duos, things don't get much snootier and French than Air. And their debut, Moon Safari—a masterwork of burbling sound effects and cooing voices—pretty much set the standard. This three-disc reissue includes the original album, a disc of remixes and rarities, and a DVD featuring videos and an hour-long documentary.

TV – Austin City Limits: R.E.M. (PBS)

The original college rockers hook up with the venerable concert show (airing at 9 p.m. Saturday) for a scorching performance that focuses on the band's latest album, Accelerate. In addition to playing fan faves like "Losing My Religion" and "Man on the Moon," the group sits down for a chat. But it's the music—louder and prouder than it's been in years—that drives this outing.

DVD – The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (Miramax)

Julian Schnabel's bittersweet film tells the true story of a 43-year-old magazine editor who suffers a massive stroke that leaves his body paralyzed, but his mind sharp. So he decides to write a memoir by blinking words, one letter at a time, to an assistant. This gorgeous-looking DVD (one of last year's best movies) includes incisive commentary by director Schnabel.

VIDEO GAME – Grand Theft Auto IV (Rockstar)

The year's most anticipated game delivers. Big time. Like previous chapters in the series, gamers run over hos, shoot down rivals, and do a bunch of other bad things to score bucks and respect. But the rich narrative, open-ended environments, and stunning graphics (equally impressive on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) make this much more than just another controversial sequel. It's gonna be hard to beat this one when year-end honors are handed out.

BOOK – The Indiana Jones Handbook: The Complete Adventurer's Guide (Quirk)

Just in time for Indy's latest adventure, this amusing guidebook stuffs in tons of pics and references from the movie series. We're not sure if we'll ever need to use the info we've picked up here—like, how to fend off a gang of swordsmen or how to identify secret passageways and booby traps. But we're certainly thankful that if we ever get stuck in quicksand and have a whip handy, we'll know exactly how to escape.
