Park Square Theatre

Lisa Kron's autobiographical exercise (which opened at the Public in New York, then moved to Broadway; Park Square stages the area premiere) comes booby-trapped with the sort of dramatic device one would ostensibly like to avoid: the female narrator's mother, who sits downstage and interrupts the proceedings frequently in order to correct her daughter's recall. Kron based the show on her life and that of her mother, who was instrumental in integrating the Michigan neighborhood where Lisa grew up. This local production boasts direction by Michael Bigelow Dixon, and players include Heidi Bakke, Christina Baldwin, Emil Herrera, and Faye Price. $18-$36. 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; 2:00 p.m. Sunday. 20 W. Sevnth Place, St. Paul; 651.291.7005. Through February 10 Quinton Skinner

Thursdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Jan. 19. Continues through Feb. 10, 2008
