Midwest Sanctuary

A variety of people call the Midwest home: Nordic, Somali, Hmong, and Chinese, to name just a few. This is the basic premise of Altered Aesthetic's most recent show, which features 20 artists from all over the globe who currently live in the Midwest. Works include Tiffany Eggenberg's painting, Dakota March; Margaret Gamache's farm photography from days of yore; and works from people originally from faraway places like Sarajevo, Iraq, Germany, and Brazil. Though their starting points are diverse and varied, as are the media they employ to express their art, all artists are a part of the Midwest community.
