Holiday Pageant

The snow is swirling, the thermometer is plunging with seasonal insubordination, and the catalogs are piling up in the stack of unopened mail by the front door. It's during this time of year that one's thoughts turn to...the infernal Lord of Darkness? Well, sure, if you're Michael Sommers, fresh off inaugurating the Open Eye Figure Theatre in south Minneapolis and looking to put a distinctive annual stamp on the holidays. This Holiday Pageant tells the story of the Nativity from Lucifer's point of view (with Sommers playing old Brimstone Breath), with song, poetry, and ample comedic high jinks. If you haven't seen it before, you've missed out. And if you have, you're probably eager to see it again. This year features holiday stalwarts including Kevin Kling, Sarah Agnew, Luverne Seifert, and Amy Matthews, with compositions by the ever-inventive Victor Zupanc. Also with the Brass Messengers.
