More About

If someone were to ask you, "What does Bil Dwyer do?" your answer might depend on what TV program you saw him on last. Game-show host, sports guy, standup comic—he does it all. Dwyer breaks it down this way: "I think I'm a standup comic game-show host, and sports guy. My career has taken an odd sports bend, especially with shows like Battlebots and Extreme Dodgeball." He of course hosted the former, and is a correspondent for the latter. He was also on Last Comic Standing. "I think I always wanted to be a standup," he explains. "I did it a little bit in college and actually came in third in the Catch a Rising Star competition. After that I came out to California and got a job at the Improv as a doorman, and after about six months there, I was like, 'Oh, yeah I can do this.'" The lure of the game show, however, is still strong. Drew Carey got The Price Is Right job, which is a shame, because Dwyer could probably have gotten a lot of babes with that gig. "Isn't that great? [Barker] got slapped with a sexual harassment lawsuit when he was like 72! Then he held a press conference where he said, 'Those women didn't do anything they didn't want to do.' Wow, you are tremendous."
