Literary fetes at First Avenue are few and far between. But anyone who remembers how Hüsker Dü tore up the mainroom at the Lake Wobegone Days book release party in '85 will tell you they're not to be missed. Tonight's occasion? Jim Walsh, the Energizer Bunny of local music journalists, is celebrating the publication of his oral history of the Replacements, All Over But the Shouting. Approximately 65 percent of all musicians in the Twin Cities will take the stage at some point during this event, which is also spilling over to the Entry. Hey, they have to say, "yes" to Walsh—he's seen them all weep in interviews (except Jeremy Messersmith—that kid was cut from granite). With the Alarmists, Birthday Suits, the Evening Rig, the Falls, the Honeydogs, Jeremy Messersmith, Kruddler, Martin Devaney, and more. 18+. $6/$8 at the door. 7:00 p.m. 701 First Ave. N., Minneapolis; 612.332.1775. —Sarah Askari
