Big Hair Mania

Even the most dedicated of hair fanatics needs something to do while waiting for the premier of season two of Shear Genius. Thankfully, the Twin Cities has a hair event that predates the Bravo TV series and promises to be twice as glamorous, even without Jacquelyn Smith. Featuring a hair runway show replete with prizes, food, cocktails, music by the Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, the Kinsey Sicks, and lots of big hair for both the models and the attendees, the event benefits the Minnesota AIDS Project, which aims to fight HIV through advocacy, education, and service. Thus, Big Hair attendees can look good and do good all in one fell swoop—it's better than, er, ripping your hair out waiting for season two.
