Sight Unseen

Donald Margulies's Sight Unseen took home an Obie award in 1992, and here kicks off the Sabes JCC's new performing arts series. It deals with a rich and successful American artist (there are so many of them, after all) who sells his new work, you guessed it, sight unseen, to a list of wealthy folks waiting for their turn to open their checkbooks. But, as one tends to do, our hero starts to wonder what it's really all about, and sets out to connect with both the inner meaning of his art and with his Jewish identity. Lisa Kindall, Jim Pounds, Matt Sciple, and Dona Werner-Freeman make up the cast. For tickets call 952.381.3499.
Thursdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m.; Sundays, 8:30 p.m.; Sun., Oct. 28, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 11. Continues through Oct. 27, 2007
