Festival of India

The Landmark Center does a pretty good job bringing culture from around the world to downtown St. Paul. Their Urban Expedition events are family-friendly, creating a mini-Epcot of places like Ethiopia, Russia, Guatemala, and Thailand. This Sunday, the Landmark Center and India Association of Minnesota bring India to the Twin Cities with Festival of India. Though there are several weeks until Diwali, the celebration should still be lively and fun. Those in attendance can sample Indian foods (never turn down an offer of samosas), live music, and dance, as well as learn about traditional Indian dress—which is usually deliciously colorful and without a drop of gray.
