Cole Porter's Can-Can

A bright, colorful musical set in 1893, in a Paris bistro, where after hours the young ladies of the club do the Can-Can, a wild, high kicking dance scandalous for the times. A young, handsome judge hears about this and sets out to put a stop to the dancing. He meets the attractive club owner, learns about how much fun the dance brings to the people, and is fascinated with the cabaret's owner's charm. Showtimes and hours vary. Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse

Lilly is the ultimate kid. In her mouse world, colors, friendships, fear, anguish, and joy are absolute. Lilly's fiery zest for life is fueled by her friends, her parents, the anticipation of a new baby brother, and her red cowboy boots. She is the self proclaimed queen of the world. Dealing with a new baby brother isn't nearly as fun as she though it would be, but with the help of her beautiful (and surprising) purple plastic purse, the coolest teacher ever, and a magical Light Bulb Lab, Lilly remains ultimately and forever invincible. I imagine that many of us have, at one time or another, thought about volunteering our time to help someone in need. I invite you to join us in making a difference in our residents' lives. We have the perfect volunteer opportunities for kids and their moms and dads! A few examples are: Musicians in Training- Are you a youngster learning to play a squeaky violin? An adult who knows how to "tickle the ivories" with the golden oldies? Any age or ability, you can't imagine the joy you could give our residents by sharing your talent with us! Beautiful Babies & Adorable Kids - Ask your mommy or daddy to share your smile with some loving grandmas and grandpas. You'll make our day! Manicures- Wishing you had more fingers to paint? We have many! Please come Thursday afternoons 3:15-4:15pm, or any time that will work for you. We'll provide the supplies. Please join us! Kids 'n Kinship

This is your chance to make a positive difference in the life of a child. Kids 'n Kinship

matches children in need of a positive adult role models. Have a great time mentoring a young person. Go for walks, do some baking, go to a movie, play boards games or enjoy the holidays together. "It's our time together that's important!" says one kinship volunteer. Families, couples and individuals are invited to find out how easy it is to be a friend to a child. Please share your friendship! Kids 'n Kinship serves the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount. We provide screening, training and on-going support to all volunteers. We also hold several annual events for volunteers and their Kinship child. You are invited get involved. Plant A Smile

Kids living in a battered women's shelter often leave everything behind. YOU can put a smile on a child's face by reading a book, playing a game, or just spending time with a child. Individuals, groups and families CAN make a difference to families experiencing domestic violence. Your family can help another learn healthy relationships and skills.
