Cole Porter's Can-Can
A bright, colorful musical set in 1893, in a Paris bistro, where after hours the young ladies of the club do the Can-Can, a wild, high kicking dance scandalous for the times. A young, handsome judge hears about this and sets out to put a stop to the dancing. He meets the attractive club owner, learns about how much fun the dance brings to the people, and is fascinated with the cabaret's owner's charm. Showtimes and hours vary. An adult who knows how to "tickle the ivories" with the golden oldies? Any age or ability, you can't imagine the joy you could give our residents by sharing your talent with us! Kids 'n Kinship
This is your chance to make a positive difference in the life of a child. Kids 'n Kinship
matches children in need of a positive adult role models. Have a great time mentoring a young person. Go for walks, do some baking, go to a movie, play boards games or enjoy the holidays together. "It's our time together that's important!" says one kinship volunteer. Families, couples and individuals are invited to find out how easy it is to be a friend to a child. Kids living in a battered women's shelter often leave everything behind. YOU can put a smile on a child's face by reading a book, playing a game, or just spending time with a child.
