Meanwhile, the band has enjoyed the tonic of swelling crowds, fueled in part by a dance trend none of them could have seen coming when they got started. "We came from a generation where you didn't go to a show to dance," Roe says. "Bringing back older styles of music in general and partner dancing in particular is really just a great excuse to touch somebody. I would have killed to do that in high school, to partner dance to Fugazi."
