Students Get Free Homework Help at Minneapolis Neighborhood Libraries

The Minneapolis Public Library's popular after-school Homework Helper program has resumed at ten neighborhood libraries across the city. Trained tutors will be available during afternoon and evening hours to help middle-school, junior-high, and senior-high students complete their homework assignments and improve study skills.

Students are encouraged to use this service as often as needed. The tutors work one-on-one with students on a drop-in basis. Most tutors are ESL trained and can assist with a variety of subjects. Free school supplies are provided and most locations have computers equipped with math and language software for student use during Homework Helper hours.

Hours vary by location, so call your nearest library for the Homework Helper schedule. The Homework Helper program is a service of the Minneapolis Public Library and the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board's Youth in Minneapolis After-School Program (Y-MAP). For more information call your local library or the Minneapolis Public Library Youth Services at 630-6491.
