Delicate Dance

With ballroom moves like that, of course he's gay. But it's the hold that George (played by Paul Rudd, formerly of Clueless) has on the heart of his roommate Nina (Friends' Jennifer Aniston) that lies at the core of The Object of My Affection, a lightweight comedy about the many forms of love. Both Rudd and Aniston are charmers (who knew she could act?), but a wry performance by Alan Alda, as a schmoozing book agent, and a bittersweet portrayal of gay old age by Nigel Hawthorne further add to this film's golden glow. Playing at area theaters.
